iGaming: the market as players actually use it

Acquisition cost in betting and casino rose by almost a third in a year on some European markets. Search indexes tell you who is being looked for; Omnimetra tells you who is being used — which brands share players, where the sport bettors who also play casino are, and what a licence or a blocking wave did to the market.

The industry's question

Where do players go when CPA rises, a tournament starts or a regulator moves?

What we measure

  • Share of audience per brand, licensed and offshore, by country, web and app
  • Cross-play: the share of a brand's bettors who also used a casino, and whose
  • Mirror families: domains of one offshore brand found by crawl, with the audience moving between them
  • Licence statuses from registries per country, with history
  • Event cohorts: a World Cup, a launch, a blocking date — who came and who stayed
  • Placements by lift for any segment, excluding the operator's own properties

KPIs

  • share of audience
  • exclusive audience
  • cross-play rate
  • switching flows
  • new-to-category
  • channelization share
  • mirror family size
  • event cohort retention

Three scenarios

Cross-sell sport → casino

Define 'bettors who started casino in the last 60 days' as a segment; see its size per brand, the brands they chose and the placements where they concentrate before the next tournament.

Market entry

A country sheet: the ten brands that own the audience, their exclusive share, their mirror families, their licence status, and the segment nobody serves.

Competitor alert

A weekly alert when a competitor's reach jumps or a new brand appears above threshold, with the sources of its first users.

Example: Mexico before a tournament

A licensed bookmaker wants the casino cross-sell budget. The segment 'MX bettors who started casino in 60 days, not on our brand' counts in under a second; its profile over-indexes on three competitor brands and two payment apps; nine placements cover 60 % of it. The media brief is copied from the screen with the passport.

Compliance and limits

No segments on gambling intensity or vulnerability exist in the pack. Activation is only possible through a partner clean room where the compliance matrix allows it: for example, Brazil and India deny marketing segments and activation, Italy and Turkey deny activation, the UK requires partner opt-in. All numbers are aggregates above the disclosure threshold.
